Aschere Energy, established in 2009, has forged a presence in the oil and gas sector by exploring proven areas with an ongoing track record of success. In its efforts to make the Dallas community a better place to live and do business, Aschere Energy lends its support to the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) Dallas chapter.
BBBS is the nation’s largest mentoring network for underprivileged and at-risk youth, and for nearly 90 years it has worked to help children ages 6 to 18 develop positive and meaningful relationships. Children with access to responsible role models are more likely to make positive decisions, and studies have shown that more than 1 in 4 BBBS participants were less likely to begin using alcohol; 1 in 3 were less likely to engage in physical violence; nearly half were less likely to begin using illegal drugs; and nearly 9 in 10 were more likely to graduate high school.
BBBS continues to rely on individual and corporate supporters to develop its reach and core programs. The Melrose Society is just one way that professionals in the Dallas community can pool their resources for the greatest impact. Through a $50 membership, contributors receive exclusive access to various social and fundraising opportunities, as well as access to a broad network of philanthropic individuals. Through the contributions of Melrose Society members and countless others, activities such as the recent 3rd Annual BBBS Zoo Day at the Dallas Zoo impact the lives of hundreds of children.
